LEX is a Drop Tower experiment that studies the trajectories of ejecta in a vacuum chamber. The experiment experiences ~0.75 seconds of microgravity in an in-house drop tower that stands 12 feet tall.
responsibilities
- Development of circuit board for experiment
- Troubleshoot circuit board and other electrical components to ensure everything is in working order
- Tabletop testing of experiment
- Ensuring safety during drop tower procedures and testing
- Provide modifications to experiment according to parameters set by Physicists
